How to Apply
There are no housing assistance programs currently accepting online applications.
If you recently applied, you may call 719-387-6700 and press 1 to hear your rank on the waiting lists. Please allow at least one week after submitting your online pre-application to allow us to update our systems with your ranking information.
We have a new online pre-application process. To view any wait lists open for online pre-applications, please CLICK HERE. If there is a message stating there are no waiting lists open at this time, we are not accepting online pre-applications at that time. If you click the link to apply on the day a list is scheduled to open and still receive that message, please verify you are trying to apply during the time range listed in the announcement as the link to apply will ONLY provide access to the pre-application DURING THE DATES AND TIMES LISTED IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT. Please read the information on the first page of the pre-application process as it contains a lot of new and updated information and policies, as well as updated FAQs. After reading the first page, there will be a "Get Started" button at the bottom of the page. From there, you will either need to create a new Waitlistcheck account, or enter your existing Waitlistcheck account information to continue the online pre-application process. Waitlistcheck uses Google Translate to translate applications into several languages, and your preferred language selection can be made by using the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the pre-application.
The Section 8 waiting list accepts lottery online pre-applications once per year (in 2024 it was July 16th through July 18th). Please see the Announcement and FAQ's below for information on the annual opening. Please read the FAQ's carefully, as names are removed from the waiting list annually and you must re-apply.

All other Housing Program waiting lists open as needed.
Beginning February 1st, 2016 we will only accept pre-applications online for any Housing Programs that are currently open. Pre-applications will no longer be accepted in our office unless you need a Reasonable Accommodation. Online pre-applications can be filled out from any computer or smart-phone with internet access. This change allows for the pre-applications to be entered sooner and more accurately to better serve the community.
