The Colorado Springs Housing Authority has been made aware some individuals have received text messages claiming to be from CSHA. CSHA does not send communication via text message to our clients so please disregard any text messages you may receive claiming to be from our organization.
We recently found out our Contact Us Form was experiencing issues that prevented notifications being sent to our inbox for processing. We apologize to everyone who has tried reaching out to us via our Contact Us Form in the past couple of months and has not received a response. We have fixed the issue causing this, so please feel free to submit any questions using the Contact Us Form again, particularly if you have not received a response to any questions previously submitted through that form.
Due to current funding limitations the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program will not be opening the voucher lottery in July this year. We understand this may be disappointing and appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to ensure the long-term stability of the program and continued assistance for current participants. Any future updates regarding the HCV waiting list or lottery process will be posted on our website.
None of our waiting lists are currently accepting online only pre-applications. You can register to receive email notifications when any of our waiting lists will open for the online only pre-application process by clicking here, or by navigating to our ABOUT/CONTACT US page and scrolling down to the Subscribe section located just above the maps.
The current directive from HUD to pause the issuance of new Housing Choice Vouchers is, unfortunately, still in effect. We will announce when voucher issuance resumes.
Applicants on any of our wait lists can call (719) 387-6700 and dial 1 to hear their ranking at any time.
Applicants who applied for any of our wait lists through WaitListCheck (WLC) can check their ranking on those wait lists through their WLC account. There will be a list of applications submitted via WLC available when logging in. If the Status of the application reads “Submitted”, you were not placed on that specific wait list and will have to apply when it opens again for applications. If the Status reads “Active”, you should see a Position field a little below that which has your current ranking.
